SC was 68 years old when her problems began. She is a non-smoker. She started to have coughs for six months. There was no symptom apart from the pain on her right shoulder. On investigation, she was diagnosed with early stage lung cancer, Stage 1B. Surgery was done on 29 September 2008, but it was aborted – an open and close case. The cancer had spread to the back of the chest wall and considered a Stage 4.
Her doctor suggested chemotherapy and said without this treatment she would have only six months to live. SC declined. Her sister died one year after surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy for her breast cancer.
SC sought our help and started taking herbs in October 2008. She is well today, except for her pain. The latest e-mail from her daughter is on 7 February 2012.

Yoke was a 54-year-old female. In October 2010, she had intermittent pains in her abdomen. The pains progressed to her lumbar region, depriving her of sleep. A ultrasound and CT scan and blood test were carried out in a private hospital. She was diagnosed with carcinoma of the pancreas (body and tail) with infiltration of the splenic vein, encasement of the roots of the portal vein and multiple hepatic metastases.
Yoke refused chemotherapy, and came to seek our help on 20 November, 2010. She took CA Care herbs and was doing well. Her pains went away and she had good appetite. She was busy making arrangements for her daughter’s wedding. We did not get to see her very often, but we know she continually took the herbs.
About six months later, in May2011 Yoke came to our centre and complained of severe pains. Why? What had happened? Listen to her story.

NH is a 83-year-old lady. Sometime in April 2009, she had coughs with white phlegm. She was given cough mixture to take. The problem was not resolved. On 19 October 2009, she went to a private hospital for further management. After a CT scan, she was given a week of antibiotics. This was not effective. Subsequently, the family was told that she had lung cancer. Due to her advanced age, neither the doctor nor the family were interested in any follow-up treatment. NH and her family came to seek our help on 23 October 2009. We never get to see NH although we noted that her son came to collect her herbs regularly. On 20 January 2012, i.e. 2 years and 3 months later – NH came to our centre with her son.

GS is a 54 year-old lady. A cervical biopsy and endometrial curetting indicated a moderately differentiated adenocarcinoma of the endometrium. She underwent a toal abdominal hysterectomy at a private hospital. The pathology report confirmed a well-differentiated adenocarcinoma of the endometrium, classical endometroid type Stage 3B, tumour invades into the cervical stroma. She was asked to go for radiotherapy, but she refused. She also declined chemotherapy that was suggested.
GS came to seek our help on 9 April, 2008. Until today, she is fine and live a normal life. She had been taking the herbs religiously, besides taking care of her diet. In April, 2012, GS would have been on the herbs for FOUR years.

SK’s problem started two years ago. He had blood in his urine. This problem disappeared after he took some medicine prescribed by his doctor. In May 2011, there was blood in his urine again. An ultrasound on 27 May 2011 indicated a 67.2 X 64.2 mm mass in his right kidney and a 70.5 X 56.0 mm. With medication, his problem disappeared again.
Mid-November 2011, SK had blood in his urine again. This time he went to Singapore for further consultation. A CT scan on 16 November 2011, indicated a large mass, 6.7 X 8.4 X 7 cm in his left kidney. The right kidney has a nodular mass, 6.6 X 4.9 X 6.4 cm in size. Appearances are highly of bilateral renal neoplasm.
A blood test on 16 November 2011 showed elevated creatinine level (141.0). His alkaline phosphatase at 165 and GGT at 228 were high. A bone scan done on 21 November 2011 indicated mildly increased tracer uptake in the paranasal region, likely due to inflammatory process. There is no conclusive evidence of bony metastases.
Based on the above, the doctor in Singapore said he was 95 per cent sure that SK has kidney cancer. SK was asked to undergo an operation to remove the tumours in both his kidneys. This would involve removing one and a half kidney. There is a 50:50 chance that the remaining one half of the other kidney may not function after the surgery. If this happens, SK would have to be on dialysis.

Siti was 48 years old when she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer Stage 4. She underwent a total hysterectomy in 2005 followed by three cycles of chemotherapy. She gave up chemo and took herbs.

Part 1 – She Gave Up Chemotherapy and Turned to Herbs

At first, Siti and her husband did not believe in what we at CA Care are doing. Many times, they were “pushed” by a friend to come and see us. Eventually they relented and came to see us in Penang. From then on, it was no turning back. Siti’s health improved. It has been seven years now and she is doing well.

 Part 3 – My Experience With Chemotherapy and Your Herbs

One week of suffering. After I regained my strength, I went for another shot. I couldn’t eat and my body felt very tired. During that time I felt like dying. I could not carry anything and I was drained off my energy. After I recovered, I have to go for another “bang”. The second chemo was worse than the first one. But for the third cycle I was alright – that was after I started to take your herbs.

Dr. Peter Ooi was 51 years old when he was diagnosed with NPC Stage 2 t0 3 in 2000. At that time he was with the FAO (Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations) in Bangkok. Later, Peter became the Director of the Asian Regional Centre of the World Vegetable Center, also based in Bangkok.

Part 1 – My Radio-Chemo Experience

Peter “immediately took up the aggressive procedure of both radiation and chemotherapy.? He completed 35 sessions of radiation treatments and at the same time received chemotherapy. He gave up chemotherapy after four cycles – the treatment made him too sick!

The main contributing factors that healed him were: change of lifestyle, change of diet and reliance on the herbs.

Peter was looking for a healing when he realized that when doctor talk about “cure”, it means being alive for five years. His radiologist was strongly against herbs. She said there is no evidence that herbs help. But Peter refuted that no evidence does not mean it does not work.

I recognized that something is wrong with my body. Cancer is due to something you have done wrong, eating the wrong food, being in the wrong place, doing something wrong. It’s God telling us to change. We are invincible. We are young and reckless. Wake up to reality. Our body has changed.

Part 5 – My Advice to Cancer Patients

There is a purpose in life. Do not ask God, “why?” but “how can I go through this?”. The patient must know they have an active role to play. They cannot be passive. You must be positive, knowledge generative – what have you got to lose to know more? The more we know, the better we are to tackle our problems. We de-mystify the cancer. Also, quality of life is a perception. Do not let others impose their beliefs on you.

LCC was a 54year-old male. He was a welder when young. Later he had his own business – steaming kuih (local cakes). In early 2010, he had a mild bleeding from his nose. By March 2010, the bleeding became serious. A lump appeared in his neck. He was diagnosed with NPC, Stage 4 as the cancer had spread to his liver.
He underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy. Barely 5 months after the treatment, there was extensive bony metastasis.

GK was a 70-year-old lady. In May 2000 she had vaginal bleeding. Medical examination showed a large cauliflower growth involving the anterior lip of the cervix and also the vault at the vagina. A biopsy confirmed carcinoma of the cervix, Stage 2A. GK was asked to go for radiotherapy. She declined. She changed her diet and sought our help on 10 August 2001.

Today, at CA Care, we have about 120 types of herbs to address the problems of cancer patients who come to see us. When we first started CA Care, we had only two types of herbs, Capsule A and Capsule B. We soon realize that we need more herbal formulation to help cancer patients with various other problems such as coughs, constipation, fluid retention etc.

Eng is a 65-year-old male. In 2007 he underwent an angioplasty procedure. Sometime in July 2009, he suffered from indigestion and nausea. Then in August 2008, he vomited blood. He was admitted into a government hospital. A biopsy done on 23 October 2009 indicated large cell, B-cell type gastric non-Hodgkin;s Lymphoma of intermediate grade.

He underwent chemotherapy with modified CHOP. Despite the lower dosage given, he suffered many side effects after only one cycle of chemotherapy: nausea, vomiting, fevers, slow heartbeat, hardening of lung, stroke, uncontrolled hypertension. Life was difficult for Eng. He had no strength and was unable to urinate. He was scheduled for radiotherapy. He refused. Eng’s daughter came to seek our help on 17 January, 2010.

Wita is a 52-year-old lady from Medan, Indonesia. This is the story of her healing with e-Therapy.

Sometime in early 2011, MN felt lethrargic. Her stomach was painful. She had profuse sweating. She had been coughing for the last one year. In may 2011, MN was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. She had six cycles of chemotherapy with CHOP. After completion of her chemo, the cancer recurred at her left collar bone. She was asked to go for another round of chemotherapy. She refused. She came to Penang to seek for alternative treatment.

Ati is a 44-year-old lady from Acheh, Indonesia. In early 2011, the nipple in her right breast retracted. There was no discharge, but she felt pulling pains. Although Ati was a staff in a hospital, she refused medical treatment. She went to seek the help of a sinseh in Medan and was took his herbs. Since this did not help, she came to a private hospital in Penang in February 2011.
In Penang, Ati underwent a mastectomy. The histopathology report indicated an infriltrating ductal carcinoma, Stage 2 (T2bN1Mx). One of the five axillary lymph nodes was positive for metastatic cancer.
Ati went back to Acheh and started to take the tea of sour sop leaves for about one and half months. She came back to see her surgeon again for a follow up. An MRI done on 8 April indicated multiple ill define mixed lytic and sclerotic lesions involving the spine – predominantly at the lower thoracic and lumbar spine as well as in the pelvis.
She declined chemotherapy. MRI done on 5 December 2011 revealed extensive vertebral metastasis involving thoracic and lumbar spine. Fracture at L4 vertebra and bilateral neuroforaminal narrowing at L4/5 and L3/4.
Ati and her husband came to seek our help on 8 December 2011. She presented with severe pains in her backbone and wind in her abdomen. She was prescribed some herbs. On 1 January, 2012 Ati came back complaining of persisting severe pain. We put her on e-Therapy to help her with her pains and restricted mobility.

ST is a lady from Medan, Indonesia. She was 50 years old when diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer in 2002 after a surgery in December, 2002.
About a year before this diagnosis, she passed out blood in her stools. She tried all kinds of herbs but of no help. After her surgery, the doctor suggested she go for radiotherapy, but she refused. Instead, she came to see us on 18 April 2003, and started taking our herbs. Today, 9 years later ST dropped by our centre to tell us that her doctor just told her that everything is normal.

Guan is a 58-year-old man from Indonesia. After having coughs for two months, he went to see a doctor. An X-ray was taken. His doctor suspected pneumonia with mass in his lung. Guan then went to a private hospital in Johor for further consultation. A CT scan done on 6 December 2011 indicated cancer in his right lung that had spread to his liver. There was right pleural and pericardial effusion. Guan then went to Singapore where a biopsy was performed. This cost him about S$1,500 but the results were not definitive and rather puzzling. The doctor suggested chemotherapy. He was told that with chemotherapy, he would be able to live for another two years. Without chemotherapy, he would only have six months.

Ling was 60 years old when she first came to see us. She is a known Hepatitis C carrier for over a decade. She did nothing about it, and ate anything she liked. A blood test done on 12 December 2008 indicated elevated liver enzymes and her alpha-fetoprotein was at 75. A repeat of her liver function test done on 31 March 2009 was not good either. A CT scan done on 15 April, 2009 indicated cirrhosis of the liver with portal hypertension. A 13 mm lesion was seen in the right lobe, consistent with a haemangioma. A 15mm cyst was seen in the left lobe of her liver. Her doctor suggested she undergo treatment. Listen to her.

Sometime in 2007, SN a 50-year-old female had a surgery to remove a black mole on her right foot. It was a melanoma – a dangerous and deadly skin disease. She did not do any chemotherapy or radiotherapy. No medication was prescribed.
About a year later, there was a swelling in her right inguinal region. A biopsy confirmed metastatic melanoma. The lump was removed via surgery. She was asked to go for chemotherapy. She declined. There was no further medical treatment. she went for routine check up every 3 – 6 months.
On 23rd March 2009, SN came to seek our help after reading the Chinese newspaper, Kong Ming. She only presented with a swelling leg. She was prescribed some herbs. She visit us once every three to six months to update her progress.
On 16 December 2011, almost 3 years since her first visit, she and her husband shared her experience that many readers ought to know.

Sar is a 63-year-old lady diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer in 2008. Her daughters decided to bring their mom to Singapore to get the best possible treatment. She had surgery followed by radiotherapy, but no chemotherapy. In June 2009, her cancer had spread to her lungs. She went for chemotherapy, but in less than a year, her cancer progressed further. She had more chemotherapy and her cancer continued to progress. It was meaningless.

RJ was a tennis champion. She is 55 years old.In April 2010, a tumor (8cm) was found in her uterus. She underwent a total hysterectomy. Cancer was not mentioned.
3 months later, RJ was asked to do a CT scab and a PET scan. She was told she had cancer and was advised to go for chemotherapy. She refused. Instead, she went to Singapore. A PET scan indicated metastasis to her lungs. Her family were told that with chemotherapy, she had a 40% chance of cure. She underwent a total of about 20 cycles of chemotherapy (Gemzar & Docetaxel, Doxorubicin and Avastin) over a period of one and half years.
After this, the doctor told her that her lungs were clear of cancer. In spite of that, she was told to take an oral chemo drug, Iressa for 3 months. She suffered itchiness throughout her body. She was told to stop taking Iressa as this was an effect from Iressa.

A scan in September 2011 showed nodules in both lungs. The largest mass being about 7.2 X 5.8 cm. RJ went for more chemotherapy as advised by her doctor. Two days after her return from Singapore, she started to cough and had fevers.
Her condition deteriorated and she became breathless. Despite oxygen being given, she was breathing like a fish out of water, gasping for air. Her eyes rolled upwards and was unable to recognize people around her.

Part 2 – Hope After Herbs: Three Days of Herbs While in Hospital

Indeed, it was a great surprise on the morning of 20 December 2011 when RJ, accompanied by her doctor friend and family members came to CA Care, Penang. RJ was discharged from the hospital the day before and this morning, they flew to Penang. Listen to this miraculous story yourself.

On 20 December 2011, RJ was not able to urinate. Her bladder felt full and distended. After the first deTox programme on e-Therapy, she felt better. Her fingers are not tight any more. She can now move her feet – previous to this, she was not able to do so. She can even stand by herself. On 21 December, 2011 she reported that her urination problem was resolved. She was able urinate again.
